Job summary

Advance TRS Recruitment is assisting a leading electrical engineering contractor in Hamilton to recruit a Senior Contracts Manager with a strong HV/LV background. This is a senior leadership role focused on operational delivery, commercial performance, and business growth within a well-established business unit.

You will lead multiple project teams, own P&L responsibility for HV/LV portfolios, manage budgets and forecasts, and drive health, safety and continuous improvement while developing

• Strong commercial background with experience managing P&L, budgets, and project performance.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Advance TRS is delighted to be supporting a leading electrical engineering contractor in the search for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their growing team in Hamilton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with a strong background in HV/LV electrical engineering, utilities, or power infrastructure to take ownership of operational delivery, commercial performance, and business growth across a well-established business unit.

The Role

As Senior Contracts Manager, you will lead multiple project teams while taking full responsibility for the performance of the HV and LV project portfolio. Working closely with senior leadership, you will drive operational excellence, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and the continued development of your teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing engineering and project delivery teams.
• Manage the commercial performance of HV and LV project portfolios, including P&L responsibility.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Drive health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop strong relationships with existing and new clients to secure future work.
• Support business growth through business development and strategic planning.
• Mentor and develop managers, engineers, and operational staff.

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ management experience within the HV/LV electrical engineering or utilities sector.
• Strong commercial background with experience managing P&L, budgets, and project performance.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical infrastructure, substations, DNO/ICP environments, or power engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Electrical Engineering qualification is desirable.
