Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Civils Technician to support the Energy Network Solutions team in the UK. You will set out ground works for new underground cable installations and maintain HV networks, while coordinating with scaffolders, traffic management, and engineers.

The role requires travelling across the UK, driving on-site and away from home as needed, with training in DNO access and safety documents. A driven, safety-focused candidate will thrive in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting out and carrying ground works for underground cable installation.
• Ability to supervise on-site teams and coordinate with engineers and third parties.
• Valid licences for telehandler and access equipment (IPAF) and safety qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and undertaking all ground works associated with new underground cable installation and maintenance of the existing high voltage electricity network.
• Liaising with third parties such as scaffolders, shot blasters and traffic management contractors.
• Achieving required training including Distribution Network Operators substation access and holding Safety documents.
• Supervising the working party on site and working closely with the local engineers.
• Telehandler and MEWP Driving.
• Assisting with general yard duties.
• Contribute to a safe working environment via inputting into site documentation and adherence to policies and standards.
• Work under the direct instruction of the Project Engineer in charge of the works to fulfil the schedule of works required in line with cost, time and quality.
