The transmission and distribution sector is rapidly transforming against a backdrop of growing demand, regulatory changes, ambitious carbon reduction targets, and new innovations in technology.
We are open to exploring future opportunities in line with our growth across ideally at Principal/Senior or experienced HV Cable Design Engineer levels in our Energy Team. This team offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across the country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes, etc.
The role involves working as part of the Cable team on electrical substation design, major renewables, HVDC interconnectors, offshore grids, FEED design, etc. You will collaborate closely with other disciplines and support or lead projects. Ideally, you will have experience working with key T&D clients in the UK.
You will join a growing and collaborative team, working in partnership with various clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. We have ambitious growth plans and offer many development opportunities. This is a chance to play an important role in the UK’s energy transition.

Stantec Energy Transition - UK
You will be proactive with knowledge and understanding of the electricity transmission and distribution industry. You should be able to coach and work within the wider energy team.
Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution and be professionally registered as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE, which is preferred. Experience as a civil substation engineer and awareness of other typical HV civil engineering projects are also desirable.
