Job description

Job Title: Humanities Teacher

Location: Wokingham

Salary: M1 – UPS3

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be passionate about history, geography, and RE. They will inspire students to explore and engage with the world around them.

Humanities Teacher Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the humanities curriculum.
  2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  3. Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations, ensuring they achieve their best.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and critical thinking.
  5. Participate in extracurricular activities, including field trips and clubs, to enrich the educational experience.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being and academic success.
  7. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and subject advancements.
Humanities Teacher Requirements:
  1. A degree in a relevant humanities subject.
  2. A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  3. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
  4. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for humanities.
  5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
