Active Recruitment is a specialist education agency currently working with an outstanding mainstream school in Wickford, Essex, which is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2025.

As a Humanities Teacher, you ll be responsible for delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons in History, Geography and RE and helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive and feel supported in their individual learning journey.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Humanities Teacher:

  • Create and teach inspiring lessons in History, Geography, and/or Religious Education that cater to a wide range of learning needs
  • Build a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and encouraged
  • Use imaginative and varied teaching approaches to keep students engaged and excited about learning
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to make sure all students get the support they need
  • Adapt your lessons in History, Geography, and RE to help every learner succeed, no matter their starting point
