Brunel College seeks a qualified Humanities teacher to join their team, promoting a supportive and innovative curriculum. Brunel College is an independent alternative provision for students in Years 9 10 & 11. The provision specialises in providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable students students with SEND and behavioural needs by delivering lessons on a 1:1 basis where the focus is on the wellbeing of our students.

Our brand new curriculum element is Humanities but not as you know it! In September 2025 we are launching: Life Studies. Encompassing History Geography and Religious Studies this will be topic led and is designed to engage and inspire our pupils in significant world events across the ages and today teaching them how to apply this knowledge to the world around them. It will be assessed from Unit Award level up to is an excellent opportunity to shape and build a curriculum with our subject team to support individual students and small groups of students.
The preferred candidate will:
*Be able to demonstrate a passion about the role of Humanities within education
*Be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills
Act as a role model in teaching through:
*Consistently outstanding personal practice
*Proactively seeking innovation in pedagogy through evidencebased practice

*Plan deliver and evaluate a range of lessons to ensure student success
