Overview

January 2026 start - this role is suitable for ECT applicants - one year fixed term. We are looking for a Humanities Teacher, also teaching History, Geography and RE in a school that offers excellent opportunities for professional development. William Perkin Church of England High School is part of the Twyford Trust, a multi-academy Trust based in the Borough of Ealing. Responsibilities
  • Teach Humanities subjects (Geography, History and RE) to at least KS4 and Geography/History/RE to KS3 as appropriate.
  • Strive to achieve outstanding examination results for all classes taught.
  • Lead an outstanding tutor group within a pastoral year team and promote the school's ethos and vision through active engagement with the house system.
  • Deliver an outstanding curriculum and contribute to school-wide improvement in learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and be supported by the Senior Leadership Team to develop professional practice.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ability to teach Geography, History or RE to at least KS4 and to KS3.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements and familiarity with current curriculum/learning developments.
  • Ability to motivate and enthuse students across the ability range as part of a whole-school approach to raising achievement.
  • Ability to assess, record and report students' learning effectively.
  • Reflective, self-improving mindset with energy and enthusiasm and a commitment to the ethos of the school.
