Job Overview

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Haringey is seeking a Humanities Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, permanent position.

About the School

The current Humanities Department has grown significantly, with a mix of experienced, young, and Teach First Teachers, supported by Humanities graduate Teaching Assistants. The school has achieved impressive Progress 8 results and fosters a creative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Humanities to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
• Motivating and inspiring students.
• Collaborating with a team of Humanities Teachers.
• Opportunities for TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities.
• For ECTs: bespoke induction, mentorship, and training programs.

Person Specification

• UK QTS or in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs).
• Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level.
• Ability to work effectively within a large team.
• Willingness to receive and incorporate feedback.
