Position Overview

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a Humanities Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.

About the School

The Humanities Department, led by an experienced Head of Department, has grown significantly and includes a diverse team of young, experienced, and Teach First Teachers, along with graduate Teaching Assistants. The school has achieved excellent Progress 8 results and fosters a creative learning environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Inspire and motivate students.
• Collaborate with a team of dedicated Humanities Teachers.
• Opportunities for TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities.
• For ECTs: participate in bespoke induction, mentorship, and training programs.
• Position start: September 2025.
• Salary: MPS1-UPS3 + TLR (depending on experience).
• Location: Tower Hamlets.

Candidate Requirements

• UK QTS or in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs).
• Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level.
• Ability to work effectively within a large team.
• Willingness to receive and act on feedback.
