Overview

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST7) who are looking for a full-time Humanities Teacher to start after October half-term. This is a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their teaching career, or an experienced teacher looking for an exciting, new role.

About the role

Responsibilities

As a humanities Teacher, you will create and develop lesson plans across KS3 and KS4. You will teach both History and Geography at KS3 level and teach GCSE level in your specialism. You will create a positive learning environment and encourage a passion for the subjects, keeping lessons interactive and engaging. Additionally, you will track student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing live and written feedback.

Qualifications and requirements
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 level, including GCSE curriculum
  • Specialising in History/Geography, but confident covering both
  • Strong behaviour management and knowledge of current teaching techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • A genuine passion for the subject and ability to create a positive and inspiring learning environment
