We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic team at a well-respected secondary school in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator or an NQT looking to make an impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Humanities subjects (History, Geography, Sociology, etc.)
  • Develop students' critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Humanities department's curriculum

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Humanities or a related subject
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Humanities
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • A commitment to personal and professional development
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4
  • Experience in delivering GCSE or A-Level content
  • Leadership potential or willingness to take on additional responsibilities

Additional Requirements:

  • Must hold an enhanced Child DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • Subject to satisfactory reference checks
