Role Overview
We are currently seeking passionate and knowledgeable Humanities teachers to join schools across the UK for a September 2025 start. Whether you specialise in History, Geography, Religious Education, or a mix of these, we have a variety of roles to suit your expertise. You will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and an appreciation of the wider world through creative and purposeful teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons in your specialist subject(s) across KS3–KS5 (depending on school requirements).
- Develop students’ understanding of key concepts, encouraging inquiry and debate.
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform teaching and support learning.
- Create an inclusive and respectful classroom culture where all pupils feel safe to contribute.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to support curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.
- Take an active role in the wider life of the school, including trips, enrichment, and pastoral responsibilities.
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and assessment policies consistently.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a relevant Humanities discipline (e.g., History, Geography, Theology)
- Recent and relevant classroom teaching experience
- Ability to teach at least one Humanities subject to KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and commitment to academic rigour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous professional development
- Ability to teach more than one Humanities subject
- Experience teaching Humanities at A-level
- Experience working in UK secondary schools
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular provision and/or trips
