This role involves delivering a creative curriculum to children and young people with complex needs in a supportive environment. Enjoy a unique benefit of a 4-Day Working Week trial while maintaining full pay. Join us for a fulfilling and challenging teaching experience.
How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four?
Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).
4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!
As a Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop.
This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, listen to pupils, respect them, and involve them in decisions.
Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in current school policies. Uphold the professional code of the GTC. Teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation, and policies of the school as a committed member of the teaching team.
We are a SEMH school for boys and girls aged 10-17, providing educational and personal development opportunities to help pupils reach their full potential. Located in a 15-acre countryside setting near Lancaster, having a driving licence is beneficial due to the location.
We are part of Outcomes First Group, the UK’s leading provider of specialist education, and were certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ in 2024.
Our reward package includes life assurance, pension options, mental health support, physical health checks, and access to Vista, our flexible benefits platform offering health, wellbeing, insurance benefits, discounts, cycle schemes, electric car schemes, and more.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All applicants will undergo social media checks and a fully enhanced DBS.
Note: You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay. 4DWW is subject to successful probation and is not a contractual benefit.
