Smile Education is collaborating with a prominent secondary school in Leicester that is welcoming a passionate Humanities teacher to join their team starting after Easter. The school is open to applications from both part-time and full-time teachers. If you’re ready to inspire young minds and bring History, Geography, or Religious Studies to life in the classroom, we would love to hear from you. This role is also suitable for ECTs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world.
  • Adapting teaching methods to support diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging a love for learning.

You will join a supportive and collaborative staff team dedicated to your professional development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related subject (History, Geography, RS, etc.).
  • Teaching certification or QTS/Level 5 (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary Humanities curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
