Job description

Humanities Teacher

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Chorley

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £162.31 - £251.71 Per day

Job Duties:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Humanities subjects
  2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  3. Assess and provide feedback on students' progress
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
  5. Attend meetings and training sessions as required
Required Qualifications:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  2. Degree in a relevant Humanities subject
  3. Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level
Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Humanities subject

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  2. Excellent classroom management skills
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Postgraduate qualification in Education
  2. Experience using technology in the classroom
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting, following the academic calendar. The teacher may be required to participate in extracurricular activities and parent meetings outside regular school hours.
