Job description

A Humanities Teacher is needed for an outstanding independent school in North London.

  • September 2025 start
  • 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday
  • Term time only
  • Whetstone, North London
  • Competitive salary

The school is for students aged 11-18 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, who are all on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Humanities Teacher Role

  • To plan and deliver KS3, GCSE and A-Level English lessons of the highest standard to ensure learning and students' progress.
  • To design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires English studies.
  • To provide a nurturing classroom environment
  • To complete all reasonable tasks reported by the Head
  • To be a form tutor and to be main contact for key students

Humanities Teacher Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or above
  • Qualified Teaching Status in the UK
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to be subject to an enhanced DBS check
