Are you a recent humanities graduate with a passion for education and supporting young people? A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a motivated Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in teaching, educational psychology, or pastoral support, while gaining valuable in-school experience.
Support the teaching of humanities subjects such as History, Geography, RE, or Citizenship
Work 1:1 or with small groups of students who require additional academic or emotional support
Assist in planning engaging lessons and preparing classroom resources
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to support student progress and wellbeing
Degree in History, Geography, Politics, Sociology, Philosophy, or a related subject
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, supportive, and empathetic approach to working with young people
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education
Experience working or volunteering with children or teenagers is desirable but not essential
A supportive and experienced humanities department
On-the-job training and regular CPD opportunities
Opportunities to progress into teacher training or SEN support
Daily pay: £89 – £100 depending on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
