Job summary

WQE College is seeking a Curriculum Area Leader in Humanities to join the Curriculum Leadership Team. The postholder will also contribute as a member of the wider middle leadership team—Curriculum and Student Leadership Group—meeting weekly.

The successful candidate will have substantial advanced level teaching experience across History, Geography, Politics, Law and Ancient History, with the ability to lead and motivate staff and students to achieve excellent learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Substantial and successful advanced level teaching experience across multiple subjects
• Ability to lead and motivate staff and students
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment practices

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Humanities Curriculum Area within the Curriculum Leadership Team
• Support the Deputy Curriculum Area Leader and two Assistant Curriculum Area Leaders to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Contribute to the wider Curriculum and Student Leadership Group and school leadership activities
