Job summary
Leigh Day invites applications for an Associate Solicitor, Human Rights (Inquests) in Liverpool on a 15 month FTC. The successful candidate will join a specialist team handling inquests, inquiries, judicial reviews and related investigations for bereaved families.
NQ to 3PQE with BD skills is sought to cover maternity leave. You will manage cases, collaborate with the team, and contribute to CAPA workloads while upholding Leigh Day’s dedication to access to justice and public authority
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with 0-3 years PQE in inquests or civil litigation.
- Commitment to equality, access to justice and affordable legal advice.
- Experience in business development and networking to bring in work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cases for Human Rights clients to high standards.
- Assist with business development for inquests and inquiry work.
- Contribute to CAPA caseload and manage deadlines across cases.
- Support team systems and supervise a large caseload sensitively.
