Job summary

Leigh Day in London seeks an Associate/Senior Associate in Human Rights abuse claims to cover a maternity leave. You will oversee a caseload of individual and small group abuse claims, including Human Rights Act damages, funded by CFA and Legal Aid.

The role requires a solid grounding in private law and abuse work, with experience supervising paralegals, and resilience for distressing material.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' PQE in a relevant area of law.
• Experience with private law claims involving personal injury and human rights.
• Experience with Legal Aid funding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of individual abuse claims and small group claims.
• Support overseeing junior solicitors and paralegals.
• Work with or on behalf of vulnerable individuals.
• Knowledge of domestic civil law and procedure.
