Role Overview
The HR Officer will play a key role in delivering effective HR support across both Smile White and Yorkshire Dental Suite. This is a generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations and learning & development (L&D). You’ll work closely with managers and team members to support a wide range of HR activities, ensuring compliance, best practice, and a people-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with company policy and employment law.
- Lead on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
- Support the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Design and deliver training and development programmes in alignment with company needs and employee growth.
- Maintain and update HR documentation, including policies, procedures, and employee records.
- Assist in developing initiatives to support employee engagement and wellbeing.
- Support HR reporting and analytics to track key people metrics.
- Champion a positive company culture that reflects our core values and mission.
Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
- Proven experience in a similar HR role, ideally in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in employee relations.
- Experience in designing and delivering learning & development programmes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
