The role:
This is an opportunity to take on a varied and people-focused generalist HR role within a growing business that supports teams across the UK and Ireland. As the Human Resources Officer, you’ll provide day-to-day support and advice to managers and employees, lead on recruitment and onboarding, and assist with employee relations matters and policy development.
You’ll also play a key role in keeping HR systems and processes up to date, managing internal communications, and contributing to wider HR improvement projects.
Key responsibilities:
• Providing timely and professional HR advice to managers and employees
• Supporting employee relations casework in line with employment legislation and internal policy
• Managing end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding
• Supporting probationary reviews and providing advice to line managers
• Managing offboarding, including exit interviews and final documentation
• Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
• Preparing formal documentation and recording meeting notes
• Supporting HR policy development and continuous improvement projects
• Managing internal intranet content and producing a quarterly staff newsletter
• Supporting general HR administration and internal health & safety compliance
Personal criteria:
• Previous experience in a generalist HR role
• CIPD Level 3 qualification (essential)
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and advisory skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Strong IT skills with experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
