We’re now looking for an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our HR strategy, leading operational HR, and championing a positive working environment across the organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations & Finance Director, you’ll partner with senior leaders to drive best-in-class people practices. This is a broad generalist role, with a strong focus on employee relations, talent development, compliance, and organisational effectiveness.
This new role of HR Manager has been created in order to support the future expansion of the business and offers a highly varied, rewarding and important position within MetDesk.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the HR function across the UK and small US subsidiary
·Advise managers and staff on employment law, policy, and best practice
·Manage complex employee relations cases and support a fair, consistent process
·Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
·Support the development and delivery of training and learning and development programmes
·Lead on HR reporting and data analytics to inform decision-making
·Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies
·Drive employee engagement initiatives and employee wellbeing
·Continuously improve HR processes, systems, and frameworks.
About You
·CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience
·Proven HR management experience, ideally within a similar size or sector organisation (50-100 employees)
·Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
·Confident in handling complex employee relations issues and managing change
·Skilled in coaching, influencing, and developing leaders
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·Proficient in using HR systems and data to drive outcomes
·Able to work both strategically and operationally.
