Job description

My client, a boutique London Law Firm, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team.

This is a standalone role, offering the scope to develop the existing HR functions within the firm. It presents a wonderful opportunity for an experienced standalone HR Manager or HR Business Partner seeking to work in a smaller environment where they can make a tangible impact.

Full-time or part-time (3 or 4 days per week).

Salary circa: £70,000-£85,000, depending on experience.

A suitable candidate MUST have experience working in a Professional Services environment and extensive experience working directly with Senior Stakeholders/Directors.

Location: London.

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office per week (for full-time hours).

The key duties will include:

  1. Review and develop current HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  2. Create strong attraction and retention strategies, including end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
  3. Manage employee benefits, liaising with external brokers and providers.
  4. Coordinate the annual appraisal process.
  5. Oversee monthly payroll processes.
  6. Provide HR advice and guidance to staff across the business.
  7. Review and advise on training needs.
  8. Offer Employee Relations advice when required.
  9. Collaborate with other senior staff on various projects.

The ideal Human Resources Manager must be an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures. They should be personable, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues. Experience in a law firm or similar professional service environment is preferred.
