We're looking for a HR Manager to support Mitie's operations at John Radcliffe Hospital, working closely with a workforce of approximately 600 colleagues, including contingent workers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in NHS HR policies and procedures—perhaps in an HR administrative or advisory role—who's looking to grow into a more strategic and hands-on position. Please note that due to the nature of the role, you will be required on site 5 days a week.

What are the main responsibilities?

You'll be a key point of contact for HR matters on site, supporting line managers and ensuring alignment with NHS Trust policies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with managers and Trust stakeholders
  • Reporting on HR lifecycle to on site management and the client
  • Coaching and advising on employee relations and HR best practices
  • Supporting performance management and absence processes
  • Contributing to workforce planning and engagement initiatives
  • Leading small-scale HR projects aligned with operational goals

What are we looking for?

We're seeking someone who's confident, approachable, and ready to grow with experience working within an NHS environment with knowledge of NHS HR policies. (either directly or via a service provider). You will also:

  • Hold CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
  • Have experience working within a HR role at Administrative or Junior Advisory level
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a calm, empathetic approach
  • Be analytical with knowledge of producing reporting
