Position: Full time 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, non-exempt (hourly), 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: The full wage scale is $27.25 - $38.14 per hour. Placement within the wage range is determined by a candidate’s relevant experience.

Position Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist provides guidance and support in the implementation and administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs to assure alignment with the mission and goals of FCN. The HR Generalist possesses subject matter expertise in a variety of program areas and utilizes this knowledge to provide guidance to leadership and staff in these areas. Additionally, the HR Generalist possesses a general understanding of all FCN HR related policies and procedures and applicable federal and state laws and guidelines to provide routine support to those we serve.
General Responsibilities
The HR Generalist maintains a general knowledge of the core program areas and workflows within the human resources department at FCN as a member of the HR Team. The HR Generalist fulfills the role of mentor and key resource to the HR Coordinator and HR Assistant roles within the department and may provide support by completing tasks performed by those roles during times of high volumes or gaps in staffing. The HR Generalist models a high level of professionalism and maintains a strong focus on creating exceptional service experience for staff, leadership, providers, students and candidates.
- Assists with triaging general HR Department calls, voicemails and emails.
- Assists employees with Paycom Employee Self Service (ESS), benefits, timecard and online training questions.
- Assists with Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) as appropriate in the HRIS system (Paycom).
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of FCN’s HRIS and provides support and training to other users on the HR Team and the leadership Team as needed
- Prepares responses to compensation surveys, reports on recruiting and retention data, providing analytics, populates dashboards utilizing key HR metrics and performs other similar tasks
- Proficient in preparing reports, graphs and extracting data as needed from Paycom and other HR systems.
- Tracks employees step increases and submits Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) bi-weekly for applicable positions and employees.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- May assist managers with simple employee performance or compliance concerns, such as attendance and policy violations, by providing effective guidance, in consultation with HR Manager or CHRO, on how to manage the performance or compliance issue.
Recruiting And Onboarding
The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing the recruiting program at FCN to include: managing the requisition and posting process, developing strategies for position specific outreach as needed, acting as a trusted partner and sounding board to hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, actively engaging in follow-up with candidates to assure a positive candidate experience, developing tools and resources to support the interviewing and selection process, offering support in the offer process by articulating the value proposition of joining FCN.
- Evaluates candidate experience to determine appropriate step placement in accordance with established compensation structures.
- Utilizes decision support tools, including a recruiting dashboard, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of recruitment efforts through key performance metrics.
- Manages the reference check process through SkillSurvey, reviewing results for accuracy and compliance before distribution to hiring managers.
- Reviews and approves offer letters prepared by the HR Coordinator to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards.
Onboarding Providers
- Serves as the HR representative in New Provider Recruitment meetings to support onboarding and staffing efforts.
- Initiates the onboarding process and tracks the status of required onboarding items to ensure completed within the appropriate timeframe.
- Prepares New Provider Orientation (NPO) materials and enrollment of new Provider in online training program.
- Informs appropriate departments and provides each with the new provider’s relevant information needed for those groups to complete their work in the onboarding process.
- Coordinates NPO including scheduling presenters, preparing agenda and conducting the NPO as the primary facilitator.
- Ensures all onboarding documentation is collected and verifies completion of essential requirements, including employment eligibility and compliance-related training.
MA Apprenticeship Program Coordinator
- Coordinates with the Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program to ensure alignment with program objectives and accurate tracking of participant progress toward licensure.
- Oversee administrative aspects of the MA Program in collaboration with the Clinical Services Manager.
- Serves as the liaison between FCN and the MA Apprenticeship Program, partnering with Practice Managers to ensure consistency in practices and ongoing support for MA Apprentices.
- Monitors and maintains monthly MA timesheets and submits the appropriate Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) for approval.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, HRIS systems to include reporting, graphing data and creating dashboards.
- Possesses a high-level of professionalism, communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals within the organization, offering exceptional service to candidates, staff, leadership and providers.
- Performs tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention-to-detail, able to use critical thinking to reach decisions, reprioritize tasks and identify when additional support or resources are needed to meet a deadline.
- Demonstrates understanding of the discretion required in HR roles and is adept at managing sensitive conversations or circumstances with calm and compassion.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field desirable but not required.
- 2 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, demonstrating continued growth, professional development and subject matter expertise.
- Healthcare and/or multi-site organization experience is preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Immunization Requirements: Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role. A simple process is in place for employees to request exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
