Job description

Come and Meet the Founder in this 1-minute video, where you'll get a firsthand glimpse into who we are and life here at Commusoft.

Global Mission Statement

From the side project of an entrepreneurial university student to an award-winning global company, Commusoft continues to evolve and has a positive impact in the field service software market. Since 2006, we’ve transformed not only our services and offerings but also the business operations of thousands of service companies that rely on our software daily.

Our dedication to being a positive presence stretches far and wide, underpinning the entire journey that Commusoft employees take our clients on. Starting with making sure we only sell to businesses that can benefit from our solutions, comprehensively supporting clients from day one, and always being open and transparent with our community, these commitments ensure sustainable growth for our clients and Commusoft alike. And none of it is possible without our hardworking and forward-thinking team.

Inclusion and Belonging at Commusoft

Our clients come from all walks of life, and so do we. We draw upon our talented and diverse team of different cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences to ensure the success of our business. We have a ‘culture-add’ mindset rather than ‘culture-fit’ when it comes to our hiring process, and we intend to genuinely drive transformational change when it comes to diversity, inclusion, and belonging. If you're eager to take clients on a journey and help transform field service businesses for the better, you’ll be at home at Commusoft.

Department Mission Statement

The ultimate HR goal at Commusoft is for every employee to leave in a better position than when they started! This means our HR mission is to cultivate a supportive and engaging environment that empowers every Commusoft employee to grow, learn, and develop. We are committed to ensuring that each team member’s journey with us enhances their skills and career, driving a high-performing culture of curiosity. We are a small and specialised team of 3 based across India, UK and US.

We are looking for…

A proactive and independent HR Generalist with 3-5 years of experience to support our People department in both the US and UK. You'll provide expert guidance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring our people practices support business objectives and foster a positive, high-performing workplace.

This is a varied role that combines HR data management, legal compliance, and hands-on HR delivery. You'll work collaboratively with managers to strengthen capability, improve employee experience, support organisational change, and develop initiatives that enable both our people and our business to thrive.

What you’ll do:
HR Partnership
  • Partner with the Group Head of People to understand organisational priorities and translate them into practical people initiatives.
  • Provide commercially focused HR advice that supports business performance and long-term growth in both the UK and US.
  • Identify workforce challenges and recommend solutions that improve engagement, capability, and retention.
  • Partner with the Head of Talent and Senior HR Associate to ensure best HR practices are in place across the organisation.
  • Partner with the Finance Department to support payroll, benefits and compensation management.
Performance, Talent & Development
  • Support the performance management cycle, helping managers set objectives, provide meaningful feedback, and create development plans.
  • Contribute to talent development initiatives that identify, nurture, and retain high-potential employees.
  • Create, conduct and manage training sessions on the employee life cycle and HR policies.
  • Provide onboarding support for new joiners alongside reporting managers.
Employee Relations & Manager Support
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, absence management, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote positive employee relations through fair, practical, and legally compliant HR advice.
Organisational Change
  • Assist with organisational change programmes, including restructures, TUPE transfers, policy implementation, and other business transformation initiatives.
  • Support managers through periods of change by providing practical advice and ensuring clear communication.
  • Help embed change successfully while maintaining employee engagement.
HR Data & Administration
  • Produce and interpret HR metrics, including headcount, employee turnover, absence, engagement, and other key people indicators.
  • Support HR audits, surveys, and reporting activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data and insights to help shape future HR initiatives and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with others to manage the HRIS and other HR platforms.
  • Support the Head of People and Finance Department in managing UK and US HR policies and procedures to ensure best practices are upheld.
Your skills, behaviours and values:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a People or HR Generalist role.
  • CIPD Associate Level qualified or currently working towards qualification.
  • Sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice. US legislative knowledge and best practice methods are not a “must” as training is available.
  • Experience supporting or delivering people initiatives that contribute to business performance.
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to align people initiatives with business priorities.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Empathetic, approachable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.
Salary & Benefits:

The base salary is £38,000.

The other elements of your compensation include: 23 days off (increase with tenure) plus the UK bank holidays, £50 monthly gym contribution, pension contribution, a MacBook Air, private health care option, remote working over Christmas and during the summer period, up to 5 days holiday-buy-in-scheme, drinks and snacks provided at our new modern workspace next to Elephant & Castle underground station.

And you’d probably like to know that we have a hybrid working model (8 days a month in the office minimum) but it is an open door so feel free to come in more if you'd like! Please note that for the first month you will be required to come in full-time 8.30am-5.30pm.
