Job summary

Four Recruitment is supporting a Blackburn-based client in their search for an experienced HR Generalist. You will provide trusted HR advice to key stakeholders and support delivery of people projects, training, compliance and HR data reporting.

The ideal candidate will balance day-to-day HR operations with longer-term projects, maintaining a solutions-focused approach and confident challenge when needed.

Qualifications

• Broad HR remit encompassing performance, absence, conduct, capability, employee relations and organisational change.
• Experience with updating policies, processes and HR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Building relationships with key stakeholders and advising Managers on people issues.
• Updating HR policies and processes.
• Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining HR compliance and up-to-date documentation in line with employment law.
• Supporting design and rollout of training and development initiatives.
• Producing and analysing HR data and reporting on headcount, absence, turnover and trends.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
• Supporting employee engagement and wider people initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the business to deliver practical, people-focused solutions.

Job description

I am currently supporting a client of mine with their search for an experienced and commercially minded HR Generalist. Reporting into the CPO this is a varied and hands-on role where you will provide trusted HR advice to your key stakeholders as well as supporting with the delivery of people projects, and assisting with training, compliance and HR data reporting.

• Building relationships with your key stakeholders, advising Managers on all people related issues, including performance, absence, conduct, capability, employee relations and organisational change
• Updating HR policies and processes
• Contributing to a range of HR projects and initiatives, supporting continuous improvement across the people function
• Maintaining a strong focus on HR compliance, keeping policies, processes and documentation up to date with current employment legislation and best practice
• Supporting with the the design and rollout of training and development initiatives, working with managers to identify and address development needs
• Producing and analysing HR data and reporting, providing meaningful insights on areas such as headcount, absence, turnover, recruitment and employee trends
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and ensuring HR systems and data are managed effectively
• Supporting employee engagement and wider people initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace culture
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver practical, people-focused solutions

The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident and experienced individual who has worked across a broad HR remit and is able to balance the day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term projects and improvements. To be successful in this role a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach is necessary along with having the confidence to challenge constructively when required.
