Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton (Bristol) offers a structured HR apprenticeship that combines on-the‑job training with academic study. Over three years you’ll gain broad exposure to Employee relations, Human Resource Business Partners, digital change and recruitment while earning a full‑time salary and paying zero fees.

You’ll work across HR functions, earning CIPD Level 5 certificates delivered by Weston College and completing requirements such as A Levels or a BTEC, with security checks

Qualifications

• Three A Levels at grade B or above with one in Business Studies
• Business BTEC Extended Diploma (18 Units) DDM grade acceptable
• GCSE English Language and Maths (or Numeracy) at Grade 4/C or equivalent

Start date: September 2027 Location: Filton, Bristol Duration: 4 years, 3 months University: Weston College (degree accredited by the University of the West of England) Degree: CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management and CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management Application closing date: Applications will be open until 26 October 2026. About us

Our HR Apprentice will get the unique opportunity to work across all HR functions and a variety of teams, with 3 whole years of invaluable industry experience. This HR apprenticeship will enable you to gain broad exposure to our daily HR operations, business and support functions. You’ll gain both academic knowledge and on-the-job training at our site in Filton (Bristol), whilst earning a full-time salary and paying ZERO fees to do so.. You will work within the following teams: Employee relations; Human Resource Business Partners; Digital change and transformation; Culture change; Recruitment; Early careers teams; Compensation and benefits; Employee engagement and communications; And more. This exciting three year apprenticeship offers you a CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management and CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management which is delivered by Weston College.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting our HR business partners in management of employee resource and performance
• Working with our digital transformation teams to develop new and improve existing tools to enable efficient HR and people processes
• Helping our recruitment campaigns and enabling successful recruitment of future Airbus employees
• Assisting our culture change and engagement teams to understand the working environment and grow positive improvements.

Requirements

• Three A Levels at grade B or above with one being in Business Studies and a further two subjects such as IT, Economics, English Language, Maths or Welsh Baccalaureate
• A Business BTEC Extended Diploma (18 Units) DDM grade can be accepted as an alternative to the three A Levels
• Equivalent qualifications subject to validation; AND Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English Language and Maths or Numeracy, or equivalent qualifications

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Computer literate and ideally have experience with Google Suite or similar
• Self motivated and keen to develop themselves
• Good listeners and communicators
• Happy to enroll in a variety of tasks
• Able to organize and manage priorities

Important Information

GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional to achieving the position's requirements before the apprenticeship start date.

Security Clearance

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.

Right to Work in the UK

Levy Funding

Successful candidates must be eligible for the levy funding. Our apprenticeship roles do not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas & Immigration to enable sponsorship of migrant workers.
