We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator. This role is based in our East York, Ontario plant and reports to the Human Resources Business Partner.

Job Summary

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to implement Human Resource principles across various activities including orientation, payroll coordination, compensation and benefits, liaising with Corporate Training, supporting HR programs, and serving as the main contact for hourly plant employees. The individual will also be involved in continuous improvement initiatives to promote team engagement.

Responsibilities include streamlining onboarding procedures, conducting new employee orientations, administering payroll and benefits, verifying employee timecards, managing disability claims, maintaining personnel records, creating HR reports, developing rewards and recognition programs, supporting employee engagement activities, administering employee surveys, delivering HR training, supporting performance management, conducting exit interviews, communicating with employees, maintaining 5S and continuous improvement practices, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience
  • At least 1 year of payroll administration experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • University or College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent; CHRP in progress preferred
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is an asset
  • Experience with automated time and attendance systems (e.g., Kronos, Dayforce) is an asset
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
