JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator at Polyvinyl Films Inc. will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in all administrative and operational functions, ensuring smooth and effective HR processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves handling employee relations, compliance, onboarding, training coordination, supporting benefit administration, administrative duties, and maintaining HR records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and the orientation program for direct and temporary hires.
- Assist in administration of benefits, and open enrollment.
- Maintain HRIS and personnel files, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with coordinating training and development initiatives.
- Support employee relations.
- Track and report HR metrics as requested.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and company regulations.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department (filing, orientation preparation, etc.)
ESSENTIALS JOB DUTIES:
- Employee Records & HRIS:
- Enter and update employee information in HRIS systems.
- Ensure accurate filing of physical and electronic records, while remaining in compliance.
- Employee Support & Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for HR inquiries.
- Assist in coordinating employee engagement and recognition events.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Maintain documentation and compliance reports (including I-9 documentation).
- Prepare required reports, as requested by leadership.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to flex time between office and plant location, for HR presence in the operation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Work, Outlook, Etc.); HRIS experience preferred.
- Ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or plant environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as an HR Administrator or Coordinator required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferred.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent use of a computer and office equipment.
- Occasional exposure to plant floor conditions (Noise, dust, machinery, varying temperatures).
- Ability to move about manufacturing facility, as required.
