A leading global shipping company is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator in Glasgow. The role includes supporting HR processes such as recruitment, maintaining employee records, and engaging in various HR functions. The Human Resources Coordinator is focused on supporting the global HR team with a range of HR processes including (but not limited to) the recruitment process of candidates; employee orientations; administration of employee data and coordinating other HR functions such as training and development.
In this role, you would ensure employees are aligned with HR policies and processes while looking for ways to improve them. You’d be responsible for keeping employee records accurate and compliant with employment laws and internal requirements, supporting audits, and handling general HR queries.
You would support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding. You would also contribute to ad-hoc HR projects and step in to support other HR functions as needed.
To succeed in this role, you would need experience in a similar position and the ability to work independently with a solutions-focused mindset. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, as you’ll be building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
You would also bring strong analytical, administrative, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work. Teamwork is essential in this role, along with the confidence to engage effectively across diverse teams. Finally, the ability to handle sensitive data with the highest level of confidentiality would be a key requirement.
