HR Coordinator
Elland, West Yorkshire (Hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office per week)
37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

About Us:
Our People Services HUB is the ‘engine room’ of HR, responsible for owning core people processes which travel through our HR system, and serving as the first point of contact for day-to-day queries. Our purpose is to deliver an exceptional and efficient service to colleagues throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Having formed the HUB just over 12 months ago, we have rapidly developed into a tight-knit team with high standards and even higher aspirations.

In this HR, admin focused role, we’re an ideal environment to nurture new talent. Recently, we’ve supported one of our colleagues to specialise in a specific area within HR, and as they transition into their new role, we have an exciting opportunity for you to step into the team and fill this gap.

So, what’s the role?
A core part of the role is to ensure that HR system records are accurately maintained and to manage key, complex processes such as onboarding, offboarding and every system led change in-between. This includes accurate data entry and working through detailed system processes.

You’ll be the first point of contact for initial HR queries, offering support in navigating our internal HR system, advice on straightforward benefit queries, and signposting to relevant policy enquiries.

Your role will require you to ensure compliance with employment regulations while working closely with other HR teams on projects specific to Talent, L&D, Case & Advice, Reward, HR Information Systems, Payroll and Internal Comms. All the while considering smooth operations and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Above all, you’ll become a trusted colleague, ensuring HR is always easy to do business with.

We’re a small but mighty team, taking great pride in what we do. We’ve already made significant progress and are excited about the opportunities ahead to continue improving.

What you’ll bring:

  • Meticulous eye for detail, ensuring all your work is of the highest quality, free from errors and polished to perfection
  • A process-driven mindset with the ability to work through detailed information in a systematic method
  • A passion for data and a keen focus on ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Experience and enjoyment for working with information and systems
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for improvement and the creativity to innovate and think outside the box
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information and instructions clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
  • You should have good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle a varied workload efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is essential
  • A collaborative team player who excels at sharing tasks and working harmoniously with others
  • The ability to prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with HR systems and/or expertise in employee experience
  • A background in driving continuous improvement initiatives
