The successful candidate will handle the employee lifecycle, manage the HR inbox, update trackers, and produce regular HR reports while ensuring policy accuracy and compliance across the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Previous experience in a busy administrative/office environment.
  • Experience in HR support is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of basic employment legislation, HR policies and best practice is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to HPC Operations Teams on HR policies, procedures and people-related matters.
  • Manage and respond to queries via the HPC HR Inbox with timely resolutions.
  • Support the employee lifecycle: onboarding, internal transfers, leavers, and right-to-work checks.
  • Coordinate and deliver induction programmes for new starters.
  • Monitor probationary review milestones and liaise with managers to ensure completion.
  • Support absence management processes, including Occupational Health arrangements.
  • Coordinate employee relations meetings (investigation, disciplinary, grievance, appeal) with invitations and documentation.
  • Take notes during employee relations meetings and maintain records of discussions and outcomes.
  • Maintain and update HR trackers for reporting and ensure accuracy of HR activities.
  • Produce regular HR reports and provide updates on key metrics and trends.
  • Review and update HR policies, processes, procedures and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Job description

The HR Coordinator serves as the key administrative support within the HR function, ensuring the smooth delivery of daily HR operations. The role is responsible for maintaining employee records, supporting onboarding activities, providing guidance and advice to operational managers, and responding to general employee queries.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, and contribute to building a positive and collaborative working environment.

Key Deliverables / Accountabilities:
  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to HPC Operations Teams on HR policies, procedures, and people-related matters.
  • Manage and respond to queries received through the HPC HR Inbox, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal transfers, leavers, and right-to-work compliance checks.
  • Coordinate and deliver employee induction programmes for new starters.
  • Monitor and track probationary review milestones, liaising with managers to ensure completion.
  • Support absence management processes, including arranging Occupational Health appointments and assisting with capability procedures where required.
  • Coordinate employee relations processes by arranging investigation, disciplinary, grievance, and appeal meetings, including issuing invitations and supporting documentation.
  • Undertake note-taking duties during employee relations meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and outcomes.
  • Maintain and update HR trackers, ensuring employee relations cases and other HR activities are accurately recorded for reporting purposes.
  • Produce regular HR reports and provide updates on key metrics and trends.
  • Review, maintain, and update HR policies, processes, procedures, and associated documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
