Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Group: David Roberts & Partners (DR&P) as part of the BMS Group

Location: Any DR&P Location (North of England)

Contract: Full-time & Permanent

Direct Reporting: Group Head of HR

Introduction:

David Roberts and Partners was formed in 1977. Founded in Ormskirk, before moving to Southport, the organisation has now grown into a family of independent insurance brokers. With businesses spanning the UK and Europe. We have a team of over 350 dedicated colleagues, we place over £230m premium with direct access to Lloyd’s of London and other specialist international markets.

Following a sustained period of growth, where DR&P Group has acquired multiple insurance business and is continuing to grow both organically and through acquisition, the group is now embarking upon the next chapter following our acquisition by BMS Group.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a high quality, comprehensive customer focused HRBP service in support of the HR strategy
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and implement changes as needed
  • Accountable for managing the delivery of complex HR projects cross-functionally
  • Build strong business relationships and provide creative HR solutions to maximise impact and value to the business
  • Challenge organisational structures and propose changes to meet immediate and future business needs
  • Other areas of HR that this person will be responsible for includes:
  • Resourcing
  • HR Policy and advice
  • Reward and recognition
  • Employee relations
  • Talent Development assistant
  • Project Management
  • Wellbeing

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and proactively; builds effective relationships with the business
  • Desirable experience with HR system implementation
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting and documentation
  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Degree and CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience working in a professional Human Resources department, preferably in an international commercial environment and ideally in a smaller team
