Job description

You will join a modern and inclusive HR team. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team at Middlesex University. Reporting to the Head of People Partnering and Policy. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the University's Strategic Plan 2031 and People Strategy.

You will be delivering high-quality HR partnering, advice, and support to Schools and Services. You will work closely with senior managers to influence and improve people management practices, whilst leading on employee relations matters, and contributing towards HR strategy and policy development. As a member of the HR team, you will be pivotal in supporting organisational change projects by assessing HR implications and risks within HR and across the University, as it strives to develop a culture of continuous improvement. You will also coach, mentor and manage HR Advisors, to influence and improve on leadership and people management skills.

You will be a committed HR professional who is either working towards or has MCIPD membership and educated to degree level or equivalent experience. You will have extensive experience of working as an integrated HR professional within a business setting in a busy HR environment, together with sound recent experience of working closely with Senior leaders and with trade unions, demonstrating a wide range of experience in strategic planning using workforce data and HRM best practices.
