Human Resources Assistant - Fixed Term up to 12 months, Carrickfergus

Principal Duties:
  • Compile a variety of information and confidential materials from various sources, summarizing information in line with targets and objectives, and preparing reports as required.
  • Act as a note-taker in senior management and other HR meetings.
  • Undertake allocated HR projects and activities to meet targets and inform line management of issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and visitors for the HR department.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including administering selection tests, organizing shortlisting and interviews, and preparing documentation.
  • Maintain and utilize HR systems and databases to extract, analyze, and report data.
  • Support the implementation of health, well-being, and corporate social responsibility strategies.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3rd level qualification and/or CIPD qualification
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Teamwork skills
  • Good analytical, planning, and organizing skills
  • Results-oriented, able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Previous HR experience
  • Experience with PAMS and NorthTime Pro
