Rotable Repairs Ltd is one of the world’s leading specialist Aircraft Wheel and Brake MRO’s that specializes in the repair and overhaul of aircraft wheels, brakes, freight and hydraulic components. As a Part 145 EASA\FAA and TCCA Approved Workshop facility, Rotable Repairs provides quality repair and overhaul services for most classic and current generation jet & turbo prop aircrafts trusted by airlines and aerospace organizations all over the world.

SUMMARY: The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department in delivering an efficient and effective HR service across the organization. This role involves a wide range of administrative tasks including recruitment coordination, maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits, and supporting the implementation of HR policies and procedures. Acting as a first point of contact for general HR queries, the HR Assistant helps ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations while upholding confidentiality and compliance with employment legislation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Posting job adverts on job boards and company websites
  • Coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates
  • Assisting with shortlisting candidates
  • Preparing offer letters and employment contracts
  • Supporting new hire onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintaining and updating employee records (digital and physical)
  • Processing HR paperwork (e.g. right to work checks, contracts, change of details)
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR regarding employee data
  • Assisting with reference checks and pre-employment screening
  • Recording sick leave, holiday requests, and other absences
  • Monitoring attendance and flagging issues to HR Manager
  • Preparing reports on leave and absences when needed
  • Helping ensure company policies are up to date and communicated
  • Supporting implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Assisting with investigations or grievance procedures when required
  • Responding to routine HR queries from staff
  • Assisting in the organization of training sessions or staff events
  • Supporting performance review processes
  • Helping with internal communications and staff notices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • NVQ Level 1, Vocational Qualification Level 1, GCSE grade D-G, ESOL skills for life, Functional Skills Level 1 English Math & ICT.
  • 1 year of Administrative Experience
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • CIPD Level 3 or working towards it
  • Experience with HR software products (e.g. MyHR/Dayforce)
  • Familiarity with UK employment law and HR best practices
  • 1 years’ experience in Human Resources
