Position: Human Resources Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide vital administrative support and coordinate recruitment activities. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of administrative tasks, facilitate the recruitment process, and support HR projects. This role involves coordinating recruitment efforts under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration, or a related field (asset).
  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR assistant role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • A valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Successful completion of a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Clearance of a criminal background check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Assist with word processing, report preparation, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities.
  • Manage filing, electronic filing, and data entry.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations as required.
  • Assist with special projects, initiatives, and event planning.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support HR operations and objectives.
