The Role: HR Assistant

Location: Hellaby, Bramley, Rotherham (S66 8HN) – predominantly site based with ad hoc WFH

Employment: 10 Month FTC (Maternity Leave Cover)

What you'll do

As a key member of our HR team reporting directly into the HR Manager, you'll provide proactive HR administrative and project support across a generalist remit at our Hellaby site.

Your key responsibilities will be;

  • Assist the HR Manager and Line Managers with general HR-related tasks and enquiries
  • Provide basic guidance on company policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
  • Assist in promoting HR best practices and fostering positive working relationships across all levels of staff
  • Help monitor employee absence trends and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions are taken
  • Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and business requirements.
  • Assist in generating reports on HR metrics such as turnover and absenteeism
  • Help organise employee engagement activities and initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Support efforts to foster an inclusive workplace within the organisation

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience in a HR support capacity
  • Available to start at relatively short notice (1-4 weeks)
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience working with HR Systems
  • Comfortable in a predominantly site based role however we do have flexibility to WFH (circa 1 day per week)
