Who we are looking for:

A proactive Human Resources Assistant to support administrative tasks and strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, and HR projects, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

HR Administration and Operations

  • Handle daily HR queries, guiding employees on policies and processes.
  • Maintain and update HR records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Draft and process HR documents such as offer letters and employment contracts.
  • Assist with payroll data preparation.
  • Track HR metrics like absence, turnover, and training compliance.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, shortlisting, and interviews.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and provide feedback.
  • Manage onboarding processes for new hires, including inductions and system access setup.

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and conduct exit interviews.

Policy and Compliance

  • Assist in updating HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
  • Communicate policies organization-wide.
  • Support HR audits.

HR Projects and Strategic Support

  • Participate in projects to improve HR processes and promote inclusion.
  • Provide data analysis for workforce planning.
  • Support organizational change initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD Level certification or progress towards it preferred.
  • Experience in HR roles, including administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law.
