Job description

HR & Payroll Assistant | Global Tech Company | Remote (UK-Based)

Recognition One are hiring on behalf of a global technology business dedicated to helping companies manage risk, drive transparency, and improve third-party governance through market-leading compliance solutions. With operations across EMEA, APAC, and the US, our client’s platform supports ethical business practices aligned with global standards — empowering clients to make a positive impact while protecting their organisations.

They’re now looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Assistant to join their People & Talent team. This is a dynamic and varied role that offers exposure to international payrolls, benefits administration, and employee relations across multiple countries. If you’re highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about global HR operations — this is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a mission-led company.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Administer monthly payroll across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely submissions via global payroll partners.
  • Collaborate with third-party bureaus and internal stakeholders to meet payroll calendar deadlines.
  • Oversee tax processes (P11Ds, W2s, P60s, etc.) and ensure audit-readiness across all regions.
  • Support pay reviews, employee benefits administration (private healthcare, retirement plans), and global compensation changes.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll and employment regulations across the UK, US, and APAC.
  • Assist in ER matters, policy development, and training delivery for managers.
  • Handle global HR admin tasks including letter writing, onboarding/offboarding, and recruitment support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across payroll processes and people operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of experience in payroll and HR support (essential), ideally across international locations.
  • Hands-on experience with global payrolls (minimum 2 regions — UK/US/APAC).
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations (UK essential; US, Singapore, or Malaysia a plus).
  • Comfortable managing employee benefits and working with third-party vendors.
  • Highly organised with excellent Excel/data analysis skills.
  • HRIS experience (e.g., BambooHR) is a plus.
  • Experience working with multi-entity payroll providers like ADP is advantageous.
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills — confident working with stakeholders across regions and time zones.
  • A proactive, adaptable team player with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be UK-based and hold valid right to work documentation.

Why Join?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven global business that promotes ethics, integrity, and transparency.
  • Work remotely with a collaborative and inclusive international team.
  • Gain exposure to global HR operations and develop cross-functional experience.
  • Supportive, empowering culture with room for growth and learning.
