Human Resources Assistant - Recruitment & Training

Location: Rugby (5 days a week required in the office)

Salary: competitive subject to experience

T2M Resourcing are assisting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation to appoint a HR Assistant. The key focus of this role will be recruitment including training and other general administration responsibilities.

As HR Assistant, key responsibilities will include:

Recruitment:

  • Assist hiring managers in developing clear and effective job descriptions and advertisements
  • Utilise a variety of channels (such as job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to source potential candidates
  • Conduct initial screenings of CVs and present shortlisted candidates to hiring managers
  • Proactively follow up with hiring managers to ensure a timely and efficient hiring process
  • Issue employment contracts, job descriptions, and new starter documentation, verifying right-to-work, references, and facilitating a smooth onboarding experience
  • Regularly review existing supplier agreements and evaluate new proposals
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment progress and suggest process improvements as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of candidates and recruitment activities
  • Manage the employee referral program

Training

  • Ensure the training database is maintained and up to date
  • Coordinate with internal and external training providers to schedule sessions, send invitations, and confirm attendance
  • Arrange accommodation, meals, and refreshments as required, and communicate details to delegates
  • Distribute course briefs and post-training evaluation surveys to assess training effectiveness and address identified needs

General Administration

  • Organise annual conferences, budget meetings, and team-building events
  • Ensure HR data within the HR system is accurate and up to date, and generate management reports
  • Oversee employee surveys, collect feedback, and prepare reports

To be successful as HR Assistant, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Experience in a recruitment or resourcing position - ideally with industrial, high volume recruitment
  • Proficiency in utilising recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Keen attention to detail and dedication to delivering a positive candidate experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and maintaining a positive attitude
