Job summary

University of Oxford is seeking an HR Administrator in the Department of Paediatrics. The role concentrates on administrative support across recruitment and HR workstreams and assists with pre-employment processes, helping the HR team manage day-to-day activities.

HR Administrator – Department of Paediatrics, University of Oxford

Location: Department of Paediatrics locations in Oxford, primarily post code OX3

Salary: £28,437–£32,108 per annum, with a discretionary range to £34,732

Contract: Fixed-term for three years

Hours: Full-time; part-time applications of at least 30 hours per week may be considered

About the role

The Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford is looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic and organised HR Administrator to join our friendly HR team.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your HR experience within a busy and supportive environment. You will provide administrative support across both our Recruitment and HR workstreams, helping with recruitment and pre-employment processes alongside a range of routine day-to-day HR activities. You will also provide administrative support to senior members of the HR team.

About you

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and administrative skills who can manage competing priorities and produce accurate, detailed work within deadlines.

You will have:

  • GCSE-level English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • The ability to prioritise and manage your workload effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues
  • An understanding of the importance of handling confidential information appropriately
