Job description

Our client is a small, fast-scaling agency specialising in the Amazon E-Commerce space who are recruiting for an HR & Operations Administrator to join their team.

This is a hybrid role which spans HR operations and culture building and is a great opportunity for a candidate seeking an involved position with the opportunity to grow.

The company is based in North London and has a team of approximately 15. This position will work directly with leadership and own the HR function—no sitting in a large department here!

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for all HR questions and requests
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Support recruitment: post roles, screen CVs, coordinate interviews and draft offers letters
  • Deliver onboarding for new starters, including paperwork and introductions
  • Track and run simple engagement initiatives—team socials, recognition moments and surveys
  • Help shape people‑focused projects: D&I activities, team building and internal communications
  • Coordinate leadership calendars, agendas and follow‑up actions

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally 2 years’ HR or People Operations experience within a small business
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, plus a professional phone manner
  • A natural “people‑person” with empathy and a positive, solution‑focused mindset
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace, Slack, and basic project tools (Canva, Trello, etc.) – desirable
  • Experience with an ATS or HRIS (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) is a plus but not essential
