We are seeking a hands-onHuman Resource Advisorfor our UK Production facility/s. In this role, you will implement and input into initiatives driven by our global HR team. You will play a crucial part in supporting our production workforce and contributing to the efficient operation of our production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Maintain a strong understanding of UK employment laws and regulations
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring a great candidate experience
- Collaborate with production managers to understand their resourcing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires, including safety inductions and facility-specific training.
Culture and Engagement:
- Drive local initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
- Champion our company values and ensure they are embedded in all people practices
Talent Management:
- Support talent review processes and develop succession plans for key roles, focusing on skills development and career progression.
- Provide guidance and support on performance management, development planning, and career growth, ensuring alignment with overall goals.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in the development and administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring they are relevant and competitive.
HR Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations relevant to a production facility, including health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation specific to the production workforce, including attendance records and training certifications.
- Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to production facilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with production staff.
- Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization, including production staff and management.
- Experience in dealing with shift work, and the challenges that arise from this.
This position is based in Fareham, UK (onsite)
