Job Description:

Proeon is a growing company and has over the last decade proven itself as a market leader in providing control & safety systems for specialist application areas. We are continually looking for people to be part of our growing and forward-looking company. We are now looking for a Human Factors Engineer to join the Proeon Team Full-Time, based at our Hethel Engineering Centre in Hethel, Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Development of human factors assessments and analysis for control systems designs including PLC and SCADA systems and human-machine interfaces as appropriate that will include
  • Site survey and information gathering at various sites across the country
  • Human factors analysis and review
  • Human factors documentation processes, including Human Factors Issue Log, Risk Assessments & Design Reviews
  • Human factors calculations and assessments
  • Attendance of human factors workshops and client reviews
  • Liaison with vendors and suppliers
  • Preparation of agreed project documentation
  • Attendance at client sites for customer support
  • Day-to-day interaction with client representatives to develop designs
  • Project engineering including commercial awareness of project costs
  • Preparing GA layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches & diagrams as appropriate
  • Preparing design concepts for bid purposes as appropriate

Person Specification:

  • PC literate with experience of Word, Excel, and databases
  • Ability to travel to client sites as necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both with external and internal customers
  • Ability to plan and organise efficiently and effectively
