Job summary

A leading defence organization is looking for a Human Factors Engineer to support critical submarine programmes. In this role, you will ensure that human capabilities and limitations are considered throughout the engineering lifecycle while working mostly remotely on a 3-month rolling contract. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in Human Factors and experience in safety-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Background in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or similar.
• Experience in defence, nuclear, or safety-critical environments.
• Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. Def Stan 00-250).

• Contribute to task analysis, workload assessments, and usability reviews.

• Contribute to task analysis, workload assessments, and usability reviews
• Ensure compliance with defence standards and safety requirements
• Work closely with engineering and safety teams to influence system design
