Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is looking for an Underwriter to join their Hull & War team in Greater London. This role is ideal for brokers wanting to transition into underwriting or experienced Hull underwriters seeking new challenges. The position involves managing a diverse portfolio and developing relationships in the Lloyd's market.

Employees have the option to work on a hybrid basis, contributing to profitability and growth while adhering to company policies. Ideal candidates will have prior London Market insurance experience and be working towards ACII qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience within the Lloyd's market with an understanding of impacts.
• Proven Hull and War underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated ability in making quoting and pricing decisions.
• Intermediate knowledge of finance and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to profitability, growth, and retention of the Line of Business.
• Ensure business written complies with policies and procedures.
• Research and identify target business and competitors.
• Enter quotes and manage regulatory reporting accurately.
• Monitor market factors for new opportunities.
• Build productive relationships with agents, brokers, and customers.
