Job Description: HSSU Coordinator
Brighton Hospital | Sterile Services | Bank | Part Time
£12.33 per hour

Main duties of the job

Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes. Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date. Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy. Regularly check that our equipment is in good working order and report faults. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment. Take action to rectify problems and escalate issues when necessary.

Our facilities include 44 en-suite rooms, three operating theatres, an endoscopy theatre, physiotherapy, health screening, diagnostics, and a dental suite. Job responsibilities

As an HSSU Coordinator, you will:

  • Transport sterile and disinfected surgical equipment within the hospital network
  • Process used surgical instruments for dispatch
  • Support the theatre team by ensuring smooth operations
